Many News is Live!
Many-Worlds Studios launches "Many News," a fully autonomous AI-generated news show, powered by our groundbreaking framework: Geppetto.
Hello everyone! Hernán Guerra here, Head of Studio at Many-Worlds Studios, and I’m incredibly excited to finally share what we’ve been working on: Many News, our AI-powered news show, is now live on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and X! But Many News is more than just a show; it's a proof of concept of what's possible when you unleash the creative power of artificial intelligence, using our new framework, Geppetto.
Meet Rolando and Sylvia: Your AI News Anchors
Before we dive into the tech, let me introduce you to the stars of the show: Rolando and Sylvia, our AI news anchors.

These aren’t just static avatars; they’re fully animated, expressive personalities brought to life by Geppetto. They deliver the news with their own unique style, reacting to the stories just like human anchors would – well, almost like human anchors! You can catch them in action on:
Geppetto: The "Puppet Master" Behind the AI Revolution
Now, let's talk about the real magic behind Many News: Geppetto. Think of Geppetto as a digital puppet master, a revolutionary framework capable of creating entire animated scenes, characters and stories procedurally. But Geppetto is more than just an animation tool; it’s a bridge between human creativity and artificial intelligence. We can use it directly, controlling every detail ourselves, or we can unleash it to generate content autonomously. Here are some glimpses into its interface:

Geppetto is incredibly flexible. Our long-term goal is to make it powerful enough so that you could, for instance, imagine wanting a ten-episode series about a moon voyage, but done in a hyperrealistic Hollywood style where you are the star, and Geppetto could bring it to life. Or maybe you want to focus on just the script, character design, or a particular visual style. No problem, Geppetto lets you break down the creative process into manageable steps. We’re still in the early stages, but the potential is enormous. It's like having a digital Swiss Army knife for animation and storytelling.
How We Bring You "Many News" (The AI Magic Unveiled)
So how does this all come together to create Many News? Let me walk you through the process. Every day at midnight (00:00hs) Buenos Aires time, our server springs into action, triggering the AI producer. This AI goes out into the digital world, scraping news articles from various sources. It then acts like a super-smart news editor, filtering through the noise and selecting the stories that are most relevant to our target audience. We even experimented early on with a weather segment complete with a rotating map of Argentina!

While it didn't make the final cut (for now!), it shows the versatility of the system.
Once the news is selected, it’s time for the AI to put on its screenwriter hat. It takes those stories and crafts a script for Rolando and Sylvia, considering their personalities and the overall tone we want for the episode – whether it's serious, humorous, or somewhere in between.
This is where Geppetto truly shines. We feed all this information – the news, the script, character details, and even directorial notes – into the system. Geppetto then acts like a director, crafting the storyline, considering things like the date (so we can easily create holiday specials!), and even managing longer story arcs that continue across multiple episodes.
Next, Geppetto takes on the role of animator and director of photography. It places Rolando and Sylvia in the virtual studio set, positioning them and setting up the virtual cameras – and not just static shots either, Geppetto animates the camera movements, pans, zooms, and cuts too, just like a human camera operator would. It analyzes each line of dialogue, understanding the context and the character's emotional state, and then animates their expressions and body language down to the smallest detail – eyebrow movements, subtle shifts in posture, the whole works. It’s essentially choreographing the entire scene, deciding where the characters should stand, how they should move, and how the camera should capture it all to best tell the story. Here’s a sneak peek of a raw animation playblast:

Once Geppetto has created this complete scene – characters, animations, cameras, and all – it’s time to bring it to the real world, so to speak. Geppetto has several output engines designed to work with industry-standard 2D and 3D software. For example, it can export detailed scene data, including character rigs, animation curves, camera movements, and lighting information, to software like Blender or Maya. This isn’t just a simple export; it’s a comprehensive transfer of all the creative decisions Geppetto has made. Think of it as handing off a fully staged scene to a team of digital artists. Within these programs, if necessary, artists can then do the final rendering, add finer lighting effects, add detail to the animation, and generally polish the visuals to achieve the desired look. But it’s important to note, Geppetto doesn’t just assist in this process, it sets the groundwork, providing all the core elements of the scene. The simplest Output Module we have is the Text Ouput: it simply outputs a text version of the script with detailed annotations about the characters’ emotions, actions, and the overall scene setup. This is invaluable for us, allowing us to review everything, fine-tune performances, and debug any issues.
The Birth of Geppetto: From Local News to Global AI
It's funny, but Many News actually came before Geppetto. As we were building the show, we realized that we needed a much more powerful and flexible tool, something that could go beyond just creating a single news program. In a way, Many News was the catalyst, the driving force behind the creation of Geppetto.
Initially, the idea was to create a local news show. But as we developed the project, we decided to focus on AI and technology, which naturally broadened our scope to a global audience.
We’ve been working on this for a year now, and it’s been an incredible journey. We’ve learned so much, pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with AI, and had a lot of fun along the way.
AI and the Future of Creativity: Let's Build Together
This is just the beginning. We have big plans for Geppetto, envisioning a future where it can be used to create personalized children’s stories, interactive educational experiences, and so much more. We're actively exploring different business models and are eager to expand the team and bring more people into this creative adventure. We truly believe that Geppetto has the power to spark a creative explosion, connecting software tools for both humans and AI, and democratizing the process of animation and storytelling.
So, check out Many News, let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more updates as we continue to develop Geppetto and explore the endless possibilities of AI and creativity!
Best regards,
Hernán.
